Terms of service

These cover Mycel Cloud, the hosted product. The kernel is open source under Apache-2.0 and carries its own licence — nothing here restricts what you do with it.

What we provide

Software for running an AI-native service business: an agent harness, an approval gate, and the surfaces around them. We provide the machinery. You are responsible for the work your business does and everything it sends to your customers.

The approval gate is yours to use

Every outward action passes a human unless you configure a policy envelope that auto-approves it. If you widen that envelope, the actions inside it are still yours. We built the gate; you decide how far open it sits.

Acceptable use

Don't use Mycel to:

• Send unsolicited bulk messages, or anything that would breach PECR, CAN-SPAM or equivalent.
• Impersonate a person or organisation you don't represent.
• Process special-category data (health, biometric, criminal) — Mycel has no data classification layer, so it is not built for this and we will say so rather than take your money.
• Break the law of anywhere you or your customers are.

Your data

Yours. You own your configuration, your knowledge, your customers' data. We hold a licence to process it only to provide the service. Cancel and you can export everything; we delete it after 30 days.

Money

• Monthly in advance. Usage above your plan is billed in arrears.
• Cancel any time, effective at the end of the period. No refunds for partial months.
• 30 days' notice of a price change, and it never applies mid-period.

Uptime

No SLA today, and we'd rather say that than invent one. We are a young product on a single primary region. If you need a contractual SLA, talk to us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can meet it.

Liability

Provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Said plainly: an AI agent can be wrong. That is why the approval gate exists and why it is on by default. If you turn it off for a class of action, the consequences of that class are yours.

Ending it

You can leave whenever. We can terminate for non-payment or a breach of acceptable use, with 30 days' notice except where the law requires faster.
